Role:      Chief Client Services Officer

Reports To:   Chief Executive Officer

POSITION:

The Chief Client Services Officer (CCSO) will have administrative oversight for the Member Relations, Strategic Growth, and Financial Planners, LLC units of MMBB. The CCSO will coordinate all initiatives, impacting 18,000 members and 5,000 employees. The position involves developing and evaluating all strategies and programs associated with the above teams to meet MMBB’s member and employer objectives using MMBB products and services. They will oversee/manage a total of 25 employees. The CCSO functions as part of the senior executive team; called the Cabinet. This position also serves as a vice president of the MMBB Financial Planners, LLC – an LLC established to house the financial planning activities on behalf of MMBB.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Serve as a leader of MMBB’s Ministry/Retirement Benefit Consultants/Services team (MRBCS);
• Develop strategic plans - annual and longer-term, priorities, standards, and all associated goals (e.g., asset retention/reductions in annual rollouts/new business/marketing and financial planning initiatives);
• Provide leadership and support the design, development and implementation of new and improved products and service lines that enhance MMBB;
• Provide leadership, direction, and management of the MRBCS, which interacts with the entire MMBB ministry organization;
• Participate in the setting of the annual MMBB Corporate Goals;
• Create and oversee an institutional and system-wide service and growth reporting capability that tracks, measures, and analyzes all performance;
• Build relationships with other internal and external units to create a strong process flow throughout the ministry organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate degree required and advanced degree in management a plus. Ordination is preferred;
• Experience in marketing and sales with a proven track record of success in goals;
• Knowledge of financial planning and customer service and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments;
• Thorough knowledge and comfort with financial concepts, including investments, clergy compensation and taxes, and retirement planning;
• Strong leadership skills;
• Ability to work effectively with management and a Board of Managers (Trustees);
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Active listening skills;
• Ability to set high personal standards for performance and be accountable for the same;
• Set performance standards for staff and hold them accountable for the same;
• Experience in/with religious or nonprofit organizations a plus;
• Knowledge of church denominations and church landscape is preferred.
